About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your pharmacy education in a real-world setting, enhancing your skills and preparing you for a career as a Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

  • Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
  • Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
  • Support pharmacy teams in ensuring smooth operations and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Provide empathetic and caring service to patients
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive workplace culture
  • Support management, oversight, and operations within the pharmacy
  • Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing
  • Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles

Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
  • Customer service and team orientation: actively looking for ways to help people and responding appropriately
  • Communication skills: using and understanding verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
  • Problem resolution: identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
  • Physical demands: be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time, lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of pharmacy workflow procedures

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $23.75 - $42.00 per hour.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, typically working 20-30 hours per week.
