Grad Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced retail environment, applying your pharmacy education to real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
• Support pharmacy teams in ensuring smooth operations, prompt prescription filling, and accurate dispensing
• Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive culture, demonstrating empathy and genuine care
• Take on greater accountability as tenure increases, managing pharmacy operations and supporting team members
• Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
• Communication skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
• Physical demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time; lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead; stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items; control precision; quickly adjust machines to exact positions; stoop to a considerable degree, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force; frequently lift up to 10 lbs and/or exert up to 10 lbs. of force; consistently lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects

Qualifications

• Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met
• Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
