About the role
We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school in real-world settings, while gaining valuable experience and developing your skills.
Responsibilities
- Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
- Support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy and genuine care
- Take on greater accountability for supporting management, oversight, and operations within the pharmacy
- Support additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing
Requirements
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Customer service and team orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
- Communication skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Problem resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options
- Physical demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain required intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Attention to detail and ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
- Strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for both scheduling and business needs
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
Skills
- Microsoft Suite proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
