About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school and pharmacy practice in a real-world setting. You will be part of a team committed to improving access to health care and enhancing patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Apply your pharmacy knowledge to support the pharmacy team in ensuring smooth operations and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care, and solving or escalating patient problems.
  • Support immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone, and offer counseling and medical advice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Operate as part of the pharmacy team, adhering to standard operating procedures and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Support the management, oversight, and operations within the pharmacy, including inventory activities and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing, where applicable.

Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time, and pivot quickly from one task to another.
  • Customer service and team orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Mathematical reasoning: Ability to use math to solve problems, such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense.
  • Problem resolution: Identify and choose the best course of action when faced with challenging patient or colleague interactions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain required intern and/or technician licensure as required.
  • Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $23.75 - $42.00 per hour.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, typically scheduled for 20-30 hours per week.
