About the role
We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice, while gaining valuable experience and developing your skills for future responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
- Support the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription filling, and accurate dispensing
- Provide empathetic and caring service to patients, offering immunizations and other services
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating compassion and resolving or escalating patient problems
- Operate as part of the pharmacy team, following standard operating procedures and best practices
- Participate in inventory activities, as permitted by law
- Support immunizations, including preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, and monitoring adverse reactions
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
- Support additional patient health care services, such as point-of-care testing and offsite clinics
Requirements
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Communication skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Problem resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action
- Physical demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time; lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead; stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items; move fingers repetitively; pick, pinch, type, or otherwise work primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm; extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items; control precision; quickly adjust machines to exact positions; stoop to a considerable degree, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist; close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts; occasionally lift of up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force; frequently lift of up to 10 lbs and/or exert up to 10 lbs. of force; consistently lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects
Qualifications
- Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $24.25 - $42.00 per hour.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, typically working 20-30 hours per week.
