About the role
In this role at AMD, you will be responsible for owning the continuous integration (CI) system for the GPU stack, ensuring that validated releases are delivered to customers efficiently. You will work on provisioning runners, integrating hardware test pipelines, and coordinating with IT to overcome infrastructure challenges. The position emphasizes high ownership and direct impact on AMD's ability to deliver quality products quickly. You will also be involved in building AWS-aligned infrastructure and ensuring the CI system meets the necessary technical constraints.
Responsibilities
- Get nightly CI running quickly by managing the pipeline, scheduling, and result reporting.
- Solve the runner provisioning problem by working with IT to provision GitHub Actions self-hosted runners.
- Build toward AWS-aligned infrastructure for the broader GPU stack CI.
- Own the CI system end-to-end, setting direction and making tooling choices.
Requirements
- Software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience is required.
- Strong coding ability is necessary, as you will be writing automation.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and GitHub Actions or a comparable platform is essential.
- Experience provisioning and maintaining self-hosted runners or build infrastructure at scale is required.
- Comfort navigating complex infrastructure environments, including network permissions and firewall rules, is necessary.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills across engineering and IT stakeholders are required.
