GPS Student Apprentice - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Uses work instructions, drawings, schematics, and electronic assembly equipment to perform assembly.
• Complies with safe and effective operation standards of all equipment and tools.
• Cross-trains in multiple assembly areas and flexes to other similar departments based on business needs.
• Develops and maintains an understanding of the products assembled and their impact on the business.
• Continuous learning of job principles, practices, and processes as required by changes.
• Participates in team meetings to exchange job-related information.
• Solves problems with assistance from peers or supervisors as needed.
• Provides basic training to employees on work instructions and standard work as needed.

Requirements

• Experience: Manufacturing or mechanical experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes or equivalent classes in school.
• Physical Requirements: Regularly stands, uses hands to manipulate objects, walks, stoops, crouch, bends, reaches above shoulders, lifts up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, walking up to 10 feet away.
• Working Conditions: Production Environment, seasonal variations in temperatures, occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products, compliance with PPE requirements.
