GPS HST Software Engineer III

About the role

The GPS HST Technology team within Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) practice is dedicated to improving service delivery, operational effectiveness, and constituent outcomes for federal, state, and local government clients, as well as public higher education institutions. We leverage our expertise in strategy, technology, and operations to support programs that address complex mission challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support Implementation and Operations Management best practices while taking ownership of tasks and/or project workstreams and guiding more junior professionals
• Support and/or lead workstreams on engagements related, but not limited, to Systems Implementation, Operations & Maintenance, Helpdesk Operations, and Software Application Development & Maintenance
• Contribute to deliverables and review the work of others for quality and accuracy
• Demonstrate an understanding of the client environment and overall project scope
• Responsible for the client and team management including value creation activities

Requirements

• 7 + years of consulting and/or industry experience
• Current state public assistance system experience that supports eligibility and benefits determination and case management
• Experience supporting State client(s) in one or more of the following areas: eligibility determination, benefits calculation, benefits issuance, and/or information management
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to travel 0 - 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
