About the role
The Central University of Rajasthan invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a time-bound ANRF-PAIR project. The initial tenure is one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research within the project “Dynamic Research Ecosystem for Advanced Materials (DREAMs)”
- Engage in theoretical/computational chemistry, theoretical molecular spectroscopy, excited-state modelling using multi-reference methods, and ultrafast quantum nuclear dynamics
- Contribute to the project’s goals over a five-year tenure
- Participate in the PhD programme at Central University of Rajasthan (strongly encouraged for selected candidates)
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Chemistry with ≥55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university/institute as per UGC norms
- Qualified CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / equivalent examination
- If no qualifying exam is available, recruitment may be as a project associate per ANRF norms
Skills
- Working experience in theoretical or computational chemistry or theoretical molecular spectroscopy
- Experience in modelling excited states using multireference methods
- Experience in ultrafast quantum nuclear dynamics
Pay
₹37,000 per month plus HRA
Schedule
Initial tenure: 1 year; extendable up to 4.5 years based on performance and availability of funds
