Government Program Specialist
This role is a critical position within the Government Sales & Marketing Department, serving as a key partner to the Government Sales team and supporting the successful execution of government programs, contracts, and customer initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Administer monthly and quarterly state and cooperative contract reporting in accordance with customer requirements and contractual obligations.
- Manage new catalog submissions and catalog revision requests, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Respond to program-specific and administrative inquiries from the field, providing guidance and support to internal sales teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinate periodic business reviews, including gathering and preparing associated metrics, reports, and performance data.
- Maintain and administer customer location lists, MIF (Machine Inventory File) reports, and other analytical and reporting tools.
- Triage customer escalations, communicate issues to appropriate internal stakeholders, and follow through to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate and support relationships with third-party partners and vendors as needed.
- Provide comprehensive support to Government Contracts teams to ensure the successful administration and execution of government programs and contracts.
- Support solutions-based initiatives through implementation, tracking, reporting, and ongoing program management activities.
- Maintain accurate program documentation and records to ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives, special projects, and other departmental objectives as assigned.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of related professional experience in program administration, sales support, operations, customer service, contract administration, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- SAP experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing demands, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
