Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the Unmanned Aircraft System industry, is seeking a talented GFE Technician to support a dynamic U.S. Army program with operations at multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites.

About the role

The GFE Technician directly supports the GFE Managers to ensure all inventories, Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) are accomplished for GSE equipment and assists with ordering and maintaining sufficient stocks of service kits and common repair parts.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the GFE Manager and assist in daily operations to direct, coordinate, and monitor GFE/Material Handling Equipment (MHE), support operational needs, ensure performance and compliance with safety, and adhere to timeline requirements.
  • Gain and maintain licenses for all classes of ground equipment assigned to Griffon Operations.
  • Execute daily maintenance activity for ADA-T managed ground support equipment, including generators, compressors, forklifts, container handlers, pressure washers, trailers, and all other assigned equipment maintained by Griffon Aerospace Flight Operations.
  • Responsible for properly storing, using, accounting for, and disposing of hazardous materials and waste generated during maintenance and service requirements.
  • Act as point of contact in the absence of the GFE Manager.
  • Assist with dispatching ground support equipment daily for Griffon Operations in accordance with Army Regulations (ARs), Department of Defense (DoD) Regulations, and utilization of the WASP inventory system.
  • Assist with load test requirements for generators.
  • Advise the GFE Manager of the status of GFE/MHE availability.
  • Assist the GFE Manager with the development and management of equipment maintenance documentation in accordance with Performance Work Statement requirements.
  • Achieve additional certifications in support of Griffon Operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience working on machinery, handling tools, and using technical manuals for repairs.
  • Forklift operator qualification or ability to become qualified.
  • Commitment to safety and other selected company standards and certifications.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in hot and cold environments, and maintain physical agility to work on feet with protective gear. Some bending, stooping, and reaching above shoulder level required.
  • No limitations with hearing or speaking clearly.
  • Ability to work with others in a supporting role and attention to detail to complete tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Valid state driver’s license; ability to pass DOT Physical preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (no exceptions).
  • Travel: 5%.
