Responsibilities

  • Handle litigation matters involving government contracts, including:
    • Bid protests
    • Contract claims and performance disputes
    • Terminations (default and convenience)
  • Provide counsel on federal regulatory compliance and contracting requirements
  • Advise on and assist with matters involving:
    • False Claims Act issues
    • Organizational conflicts of interest (OCI)
    • Procurement integrity and ethics regulations
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and case strategy analysis
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups as needed
  • Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in government contracts
  • Active bar admission in at least one of the following: District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland, California
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities

Billable Expectations

  • 1,800 annual billable hours
  • 200 non-billable hours required
  • Credit toward billable target includes:
    • Up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work
    • Up to 25 hours of approved diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives

Pay

$195,000 - $210,000 per year
