Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, ensure proper project/cost-code allocations, and prepare weekly disbursement cycles.
- Generate precise, compliant client billings (Time & Materials, Firm-Fixed-Price, and Cost-Plus contracts) and track collections.
- Maintain the corporate general ledger, prepare and post journal entries, and perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured within deadlines.
- Ensure accurate tracking, allocation, and reporting of direct costs, indirect costs, and unallowable expenses in strict compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
- Aid in the calculation, monitoring, and application of provisional and actual indirect cost pools (Fringe, Overhead, G&A).
- Assist in preparing schedules, worksheets, and documentation for DCAA/DCMA compliance reviews and annual corporate financial audits.
Mandatory Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience (AP, AR, GL).
- GovCon Expertise: Experience working in a Federal Government Contracting environment with understanding of indirect rates and government cost structures.
- Technical Skills: Experience with PROCAS or similar GovCon-specific tools (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge in GAAP, FAR, and DCAA compliance requirements.
- Excel Skills: Experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience assisting with the preparation of an Incurred Cost Submission (ICS).
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong communication skills to cross-functionally coordinate with Project Managers regarding budget variances and contract burn rates.
- Familiarity with AI driven tools.
