Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and lifecycle management of GovCloud-aligned platforms and services (e.g., Azure Government)
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures aligned with U.S. government and defense frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, Zero Trust)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and defense regulatory, audit, and security requirements
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical, security, and service-related issues
- Define and maintain secure cloud landing zones, guardrails, and governance standards
- Collaborate with Security, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to support audits and authorization processes (e.g., ATO)
- Manage third-party suppliers and partners supporting GovCloud services
- Support incident response, disaster recovery, and service continuity planning
- Develop and maintain GovCloud service roadmaps aligned with business and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and governance oversight to cloud and infrastructure teams
Requirements
- Strong experience delivering cloud services in U.S. government, defense, or regulated environments
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Azure Government (identity, networking, security, governance)
- Experience with U.S. security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, DoD guidance)
- Expertise in secure cloud architecture, design, and implementation
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep)
- Background in cloud security, risk management, and audit/authorization support
- Experience operating mission-critical or high-assurance IT services
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of IT operations including incident, problem, and change management
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP, CISM, Security+, ITIL)
- U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum
