About the Role
The Gourmet Store Manager oversees daily operations, including team development and performance management to ensure high service standards and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
- Train and develop all new front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) employees.
- Maintain a guest-focused approach in all duties.
- Ensure operational expenses and costs align with budgets and profit goals.
- Develop and train front-of-house staff.
- Delegate tasks for ordering supplies and verify accuracy.
- Perform weekly and monthly inventories; update beverage prices on spreadsheets.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal/state/local laws.
- Maintain a professional market image, including cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance standards.
- Deliver positive guest service and address complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
- Implement proper security procedures to protect team members, guests, and company assets.
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce injury and accident risks.
- Complete accident reports promptly if a guest or team member is injured.
- Assist in menu planning, development, and meal specials.
- Enforce proper cash management controls for all F&B staff, per policy.
- Manage shifts, including decision-making, scheduling, attendance logs, service standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service.
- Provide direction and communication to team members on operational information and procedural changes.
- Develop team members through ongoing feedback.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date staffing plan with trained and competent individuals.
- Possess complete knowledge of all department policies, standards, and procedures.
- Be familiar with resort services, amenities, and outlets.
- Available for work assignments outside of customary hours, including evenings, catering events, weekends, and holidays.
- Comply with all Store Market policies and procedures as communicated by management.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Work effectively with the Human Resources Director on proper documentation and performance management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
- At least two years of experience in retail administration, preferably in market management, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Physical Requirements
