Gorrono Ranch - Restaurant Team Member - FOH

General work in all areas of the restaurant including cashiering, bussing tables, stocking supplies, general cleaning, and snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Clean and re-set dining area and tables, including extensive pre-bussing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with sanitation requirements.
• Shovel and remove snow from decks and all other designated areas in accordance with safety regulations.
• Move picnic tables, chairs, wine barrels, and benches to ensure snow removal and safety of employees and guests.
• Maintain restaurant needs by stocking items and product.
• Constantly check and refill water containers in numerous locations throughout service.
• Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and organize storage areas.
• Transport kegs, beer bottles, wine, and other items needed in bars.
• Collect and place garbage and trash in designated containers.
• Collect recyclables and place in designated containers.
• Vacuum the restaurant before and after service.
• Stock, clean, and maintain bathrooms before, during, and after service.
• Cross-train in minimal kitchen duties, specifically helping in the dishwasher area.
• Set up and break down the audio system.
• Prepare for weddings and events, including dance floor setup, moving tables and chairs, and polishing.
• Stock firewood and maintain fire during service, if applicable.
• Maintain accuracy and security of cash drawer in accordance with management standards.
• Provide a guest experience that exceeds expectations.
• Support sustainability initiatives.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, Skier Responsibility Code, and Colorado Skier Safety Act.

Requirements

• Must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level or above and have your own equipment.
• Must pass an on-snow skills assessment before employment.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work effectively at an altitude of 10,000 ft or above.
• Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions including snow, rain, sleet, and freezing temperatures.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Cashiering experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with catering and fine dining helpful but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computation of rate, ratio, and discounts.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Empathy and problem-solving skills for guest concerns.
• Basic computer skills for cashiering.
