Goodwill Vermont Donation Center Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated, positive team player with high integrity who is eager to lead our back-end operations at our Williston, VT retail store. The Donation Center Supervisor works under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to maintain efficient backroom operations and is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe donation center.

Responsibilities

• Relieve donation and production attendants at peak times.
• Listen to customer complaints and resolve problems.
• Stock shelves, counters, bins, and racks with merchandise.
• Receive donations, provide donation receipts, and assist donors.
• Close registers: total/summarize funds received, endorse checks, prepare bank deposit slip.
• Deposit funds at a bank.
• Assist with performance management and hiring process (documentation, interviewing, reviews, etc.).
• Assist Store Managers with general store management/operations.
• Open/close store; secure all store premises, including building, where applicable.
• Maintain store premises.
• Supervise personnel and oversee the training and safety of teammates in the absence of Managers.

Requirements

• Prior retail, customer service, or warehouse experience.
• Mathematical and literacy skills to support job duties.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Computer literacy to help with job duties.
• High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent.
• A criminal background check that meets agency standards.
• Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record and insurance meeting agency standards.

Pay

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour (depending on experience).
