About the Role
We are seeking a Golf Coach with three years of coaching experience directly related to the specified duties. The ideal candidate will uphold AUSD’s equity imperative by fostering an inclusive environment for all students, particularly underserved African American and Latinx students.
Responsibilities
- Teach fundamental skills and drills of golf.
- Instruct players in the rules, regulations, and equipment of the sport.
- Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct toward players, officials, spectators, and families.
- Work collaboratively in a group coaching environment.
- Provide academic advising and track the progress of each student-athlete.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director, administration, teachers, and parents.
- Fundraise for the program.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- NFHS Certificates: Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Heat Illness Prevention, and COVID-19 for Coaches and Administrators.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- No teaching credential required.
