Essential Job Duties

• Greets customers and provides exceptional customer service
• Takes food and beverage orders, prepares beverages, and serves customers in the dining room and patios
• Verifies legal drinking age of customers ordering alcoholic beverages
• Busses tables, restocks condiments and supplies, and performs general cleaning and sanitizing in the dining room and patios
• Ensures health standards are met
• Delivers and collects guest checks and payments
• Responsible for ringing transactions into the Point of Sale (POS) system
• May assist with training new wait staff

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
• Experience: Six-months food and beverage experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Effective oral communication skills for taking orders and serving customers
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to learn the menu items and options
• Physical ability to serve food/beverages and bus tables
• Basic math skills

Physical Demands

• Occasional physical work lifting up to 75 pounds
• Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing
• Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment
• Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
• Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens

Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment
