Golf Starter

Join our team as a Golf Course Ranger, ensuring an enjoyable and efficient experience for all golfers while maintaining the course and communicating with the pro shop and Starter.

About the Role

The ranger travels around the golf course, monitoring the pace of play and assisting golfers with a friendly and courteous demeanor. This position requires adherence to departmental policies and procedures as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP’s).

Responsibilities

• Monitor pace of play
• Report emergencies and any irregularities on the golf course (e.g., joggers, pets, non-revenue play, cart abuse)
• Check bathrooms for cleanliness
• Pick up litter on the course
• Respond to customer service calls (e.g., lost clubs, cart battery issues, GPS malfunctions, beverage cart requests)
• Properly secure the course at the end of the day
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma is required
• Golf course experience (preferred)
• Customer service experience (preferred)

Physical Demands

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Use, carry, and operate necessary office equipment requiring finger dexterity
• Communicate effectively through verbal, auditory, and visual means
• Visually work on a computer for extended periods
• Adapt to moderate indoor temperatures controlled by hotel environmental systems
