About the role

The Golf Shop Attendant operates a point-of-sale system to sell merchandise, greens fees, and food and beverage, and handles cash transactions in conformity with Park District policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process sales of merchandise, greens fees, and food and beverage using a point-of-sale system
• Handle cash transactions according to established cash-handling policies
• Assist customers with merchandise selection and provide outstanding customer service
• Receive and resolve visitor complaints when possible; escalate unresolved issues to supervisor
• Keep supervisor promptly informed of key or significant issues and concerns
• Maintain a safe work environment for self, coworkers, and the public
• Respond to hazardous situations or unsafe conditions by taking corrective action and notifying supervisory personnel
