Responsibilities

  • Builds student base by creating safe environments for all golfers, providing high-quality instruction, and building lasting relationships with each student.
  • Identifies strengths and weaknesses of swing/game through client conversations, gets to the root of students’ lesson goals, and acts as a Trusted Advisor for each student.
  • Seeks out information and opportunities to develop self to become a better teacher.
  • Ensures teaching concepts are directed toward students’ understanding and adjusts teaching style to best facilitate learning.
  • Continuously looks for new and creative ways to build a robust student base, striving to meet and exceed financial and metric goals for the role.
  • Leads community outreach by partnering with local organizations to teach, support, and spread awareness of the Golf Galaxy experience.
  • Promotes services such as Fitting, Lessons, Club Tech, and specialized services through collaboration with departments to create lasting relationships with golfers.
  • Works collaboratively with Certified Fitters and teammates to enhance the Trusted Advisor experience with each student, including interacting with fitters/golfers during fittings and sharing knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience
  • Active PGA of America Class A or LPGA member in good standing
  • 3+ years of knowledge of club-fitting through experience and/or OEM training
  • PGA of America Class A or LPGA Member in good standing, Apprentice Level 1, 2, 3, or interested in becoming a PGA/LPGA Member through the PGA/LPGA Associate Program
  • TrackMan Level 1 & 2 certification
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for golf equipment and related technology
  • Desire for continued learning (self) and teaching others
  • Stays current with industry trends

Pay

Targeted Pay Range: $45,000.00 – $61,000.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as incentive, equity, and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay regularly to ensure competitive and equitable pay.
