Golf Operator | Seasonal

City of Watertown, SD – Seasonal Golf Operator position.

About the role

A golf operator is responsible for maintaining the golf course in optimal playing condition through a variety of tasks, including mowing, raking, and operating equipment. They may also assist with landscaping, planting and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough using various mowers.
• Rake sand traps and bunkers.
• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other tools.
• Plant, remove, and trim trees and shrubs.
• Water, aerate and apply fertilizers under supervision.
• Ensure equipment is used correctly and safely; report any issues.
• Communicate with supervisors and report any course issues or problems.
• Take orders and answer questions with clarity and understanding.
• Work with a variety of people in an efficient, calm and patient manner while in a fast-paced environment.
• Work nights, weekends, and extended hours as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Driver License.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years old or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Golf Operator experience or equivalent.

Pay

$13.00 per hour.
