Employment type: Part-Time Hourly, non-exempt. Hourly rate: $18.00 per hour (based on relevant experience).

About the role

The Golf Division is seeking a highly motivated Golf Equipment Operator to join a talented team maintaining world-class golf courses in our community. This role offers a positive and engaging environment, comprehensive training, and opportunities for professional growth within the green industry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate light and heavy equipment such as gang mowers and utility vehicles for golf course maintenance.
  • Inspect and maintain assigned equipment; identify equipment needs for projects.
  • Assist with cleaning and trash removal from golf course areas, including shelters and restrooms.
  • May assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs, snow removal, and collaboration with other Park divisions.
  • Report to work on time as scheduled and work in all weather conditions.
  • Follow safety procedures and engage professionally with team members and the public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in landscaping and operating equipment/tractors.
  • Unrestricted valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT certificate within the first week of hire.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and pass a Motor Vehicle Record and background check.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping maintenance, turf management, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to connect, pull, and backup trailers.
  • Physical ability to perform duties including bending, lifting, digging, pushing, and kneeling; ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attendance at weekly staff meetings, trainings, and safety meetings is required.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of power tools and power-driven equipment care, operation, and maintenance.
  • Skilled in operating and maintaining light/heavy equipment.
  • Understanding of traffic and safety rules, and accident prevention practices.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with coworkers and the public.

Schedule

  • Non-benefitted seasonal/temporary hourly position.
