Schedule

• 24–40 hours per week
• 3–5 work days per week
• Must be able to work weekends

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service by assisting dining room customers
• Assists with ordering, receiving, and rotating food and beverage product
• Prepares and cooks daily menu, specials, and tournament items
• Sanitizes kitchen and ensures adherence to all health department requirements
• Performs set-up, planning, and serving of special events

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 6 months of cooking experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years’ cooking experience with a demonstrated commitment to quality food and beverage service

• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of principles and practices in food and beverage operations
• Ability to understand verbal information and instructions
• Ability to read and understand written material
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, coworkers, and customers
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships

Physical Demands

• Moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling objects and materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for periods of four or more hours
• Frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting
• Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment, as well as for driving equipment and vehicles
• Vision for reading, recording, and interpreting information
• Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens

Work Environment

• Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, smoke, and grease

• May require occasional use of personal equipment (e.g., vehicle, cell phone, tools) in the course of employment
