Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provides customer service by assisting dining room customersAssists with ordering / receiving and rotating food and beverage productPrepares for and cooks daily menu, specials and tournament itemsSanitizes kitchen and ensures adherence to all health department requirementsPerforms set-up, planning and serving of special events Minimum Qualifications An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: At least 6 months cooking experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferred Qualifications: One to two years’ cooking experience preferred with a demonstrated commitment to quality food and beverage service Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Excellent customer service skillsKnowledge of principles and practices in food and beverage operationsAbility to understand verbal information and instructionsAbility to read and understand written materialAbility to communicate effectively with supervisor, coworkers and customersAbility to establish and maintain effective work relationships Physical Demands Moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for periods of four or more hours Frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehiclesVision for reading, recording and interpreting informationSpeech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens Work Environment Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, smoke, and grease Equipment Used This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
