About the role
The Golf Cart Attendant plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to golf guests at Wild Dunes Resort, maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.
Responsibilities
- Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival
- Unloads clubs, cleans and places in bag drop area or cart
- Wipes down clubs and loads them into guests' cars once they are finished
- Clean carts when guests return
- Checks carts for damages, reports immediately to Golf Shop
- Maintains grounds area clean and prepared for the next day's operations
- Washes golf balls, supplies clean golf balls to ball machine
- Cleans machine and surrounding areas
- Cleans and organizes rental clubs, reports any missing or damaged clubs immediately to Head Professional
- Keeps back room and cart area neat and clean
- Communicates tee sheet changes to player’s assistants
- Continually supplies carts to the staging area, ensuring all carts have a pencil and scorecard
- Contacts appropriate party, if necessary, when a guest problem is reported
- Provides general resort information for guests
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
- Resolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absence of manager
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
- Upsells other resort services and amenities to guests
- Maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
- Communicates all pertinent information to the Golf team
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons)
- Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
- Absolutely maintains a professional appearance
- Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standards
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times
Qualifications
- High school education required
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- At least one year customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of the game of golf preferred

Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat)
- Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to bend, squat, & twist on an occasional basis
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently
