Goldstrike - Underground Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor
Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor for our Goldstrike operations. This role ensures all maintenance service activities operate within safety, security, and environmental policies to protect employees and company assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the safe execution of maintenance activities for various types of mobile equipment
- Support the objectives of mine maintenance with the Maintenance Superintendent
- Supervise maintenance supervisors and plan their career development
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental policies and regulations
- Participate in maintenance planning processes
- Ensure departmental condition monitoring and reliability objectives are met
- Administer company policies and procedures
- Support operational objectives by minimizing risks and maximizing value, focusing on cost management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum ten (10) years of verifiable and related maintenance experience
- Five (5) years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Experience in a planned maintenance environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Professional communication skills with various levels of employees, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others
- Team-based work skills
- Proficient with basic computer software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
- Commitment to developing and maintaining a safe work culture
- Able to drive manual transmission mine tractor and other company vehicles (vans and trucks)
- Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days
