Goldstrike - Underground Dispatcher
Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to safety meetings.
- Identify safety issues and recommend solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of Mine Emergency procedures.
- Communicate out varied broadcast alerts.
- Facilitate incident and emergency communication.
- Monitor and enter dispatch data into PITRAM.
- Record and track movements of personnel and equipment.
- Ensure integrity of the PITRAM database.
- Correct errors in the PITRAM database.
- Distribute PITRAM daily reports.
- Produce other reports as required.
- Maintain radio communications.
- Broadcast alerts as needed.
- Monitor weather alerts/warnings.
Qualifications
- Experience with computers and phones.
- General knowledge of software applications like Excel, Word, and Outlook (preferred).
- Ability to multi-task and handle high radio, phone, and foot traffic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in an office setting for the entire shift.
- Team player with a proven safety record.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Self-directed, team-oriented, and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Highly motivated and action-oriented.
- Ability to make a difference and last impact.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, collecting, and entering dispatch data. Other responsibilities include communicating out varied broadcast alerts, facilitating incident and emergency communication, and performing other duties as assigned.
