We are seeking a Senior GoLang Developer to lead the development of scalable, resilient backend services while also contributing to modern React.js front-end applications. You will architect and implement core platform components, optimize system performance, and collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and engineering leadership. This role requires deep expertise in Go, hands-on experience with React.js, strong systems-level thinking, and the ability to influence engineering direction. This role is Monday–Friday, fully onsite in our client's office in Atlanta (Midtown). Candidates must be able to commute to the client site daily. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using GoBuild and maintain responsive, reusable React.js components and front-end features that integrate with Go-based APIsArchitect distributed systems and microservices with a focus on scalability, reliability, and observabilityDesign and document clean, well-versioned APIs (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL) that support both internal services and front-end applicationsOptimize performance across APIs, data pipelines, and service-to-service communicationImplement best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native deploymentWrite comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across both backend and front-end codebasesCollaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsWork directly with client stakeholders onsite to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and translate business needs into technical solutionsLead technical decisions around system design, data modeling, and infrastructureEnsure application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure data handlingMentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing code reviews and architectural guidanceTroubleshoot complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks and distributed system failuresParticipate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies with the client's engineering teamsCreate and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooksEvaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to accelerate delivery and improve qualityContribute to technical roadmaps and long-term engineering strategy Required Qualifications 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years of hands-on Go development2+ years of professional experience building applications with React.js, including hooks, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API, or similar), and component-driven architectureExperience building microservices and distributed systems at scaleProficiency with REST, gRPC, GraphQL, or event-driven architecturesDeep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching layers, and message queuesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)Ability to write clean, maintainable, idiomatic Go codeAbility to work onsite Monday–Friday at the client's office in Midtown Atlanta Preferred Qualifications Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systemsExperience with Next.js, front-end testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright), and front-end performance optimizationExperience with Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systemsKnowledge of domain-driven design (DDD) or clean architecturePrior consulting or client-facing experience This role is based in the US and only open to citizens and permanent residents of the US who do not require visa sponsorship.
