Golang Engineer

About the role

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Go (Golang), distributed systems, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Go (Golang).
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture decisions.
• Implement security and data protection best practices.
• Work within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang).
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, goroutines, and channels.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
