The Reliability Engineer – Offshore Operations provides reliability engineering leadership to improve the safety, reliability, availability, and performance of offshore production, utility, and safety systems. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Automation, Supply Chain, and Engineering to reduce equipment failures and production deferment; optimize maintenance strategies; strengthen asset integrity; and support safe, efficient facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance, reliability trends, and maintenance effectiveness across offshore assets.
- Develop, maintain, and improve reliability strategies for critical production, utility, and safety systems.
- Identify equipment bad actors and recurring failures through data-driven analysis and cross-functional review.
- Establish, track, and communicate reliability key performance indicators, including mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), equipment availability, and maintenance compliance.
- Facilitate reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) studies and maintenance-optimization initiatives.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations for significant equipment failures, repeat failures, and production losses.
