Gnc Simulation Software Engineer

Contract position based in Houston, TX.

About the role

Design, analyze, and implement GNC algorithms and simulations for aerospace vehicles. Maintain and develop analysis tools, regression test scenarios, Monte Carlo framework, and simulation architecture. Perform 6-DOF modeling, simulation, and performance analysis to evaluate system behavior under both nominal and off-nominal conditions. Build high-fidelity dynamic models of vehicles, sensors, actuators, and environmental models. Conduct Monte Carlo analyses and sensitivity studies to validate robustness and reliability. Validate simulation models against test data and engineering expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC algorithms and simulations for aerospace vehicles.
• Maintain and develop analysis tools and simulation architecture.
• Perform 6-DOF modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
• Build high-fidelity dynamic models of vehicles, sensors, and actuators.
• Conduct Monte Carlo analyses and sensitivity studies.
• Validate simulation models against test data.
• Collaborate with embedded software teams for GNC functionality integration.
• Support development of requirements and verification plans for flight software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software experience.
• 5+ years in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
• Experience with NASA GUNNS and TRICK Simulation Software.
• Flight vehicle experience.
• Proficiency in Simulink and software development.

Pay

$55.00 - $80.00 per hour.
