GMT/Blanket Technician - North Slope, AK - Rotational

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading tools or raw materials.
• Erecting scaffolding or other pieces of equipment.
• Knowledge of the use of air bags for lifting pipes in rack.
• Cuts and strips/install insulation on piping.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, preferred, or GED equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year directly related remote experience in the construction or oil & gas industry.
• Insulation blanket/sewing experience in construction industry required.
• Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme cold.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
• Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Physical demands include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
