GMP Technician

About the Role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining assigned areas within GMP standards in a clean and orderly condition. The role involves working collaboratively with team members, following instructions, and communicating effectively to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Stop at-risk behavior of others and self
  • Perform work assignments as part of a team
  • Complete repetitive tasks while maintaining a clean work area
  • Take direction and respond to supervision
  • Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers
  • Support shift lead in completing punch-list items and work orders
  • Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a professional appearance
  • Understand customer service, satisfaction, and reporting systems
  • Perform sanitization duties to maintain a GMP-controlled environment
  • Follow all customer and SBM SOPs and procedures
  • Respond to customer requests professionally
  • Train in area job functions, including walls, floors, windows, wipe-downs, maintenance issue reporting, and shut-down cleaning
  • Complete daily FN logs accurately and maintain certification in correct gowning procedures
  • Complete all basic training modules, annual qualification trainings, and safety certifications (e.g., chemical safety)
  • Act as an area fill-in during staff shortages

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience (preferred)
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification (a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license (may be required)
  • Completed safety and task training certification
  • Forklift certification (may be required)

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and their maintenance
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to sit, talk, or listen frequently. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Schedule

Shifts may include Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, depending on manager schedule rotation.

Pay

$21.00–$22.00 per hour
