GM Certified Technician

About the role

Shottenkirk Fort Madison is hiring Certified GM Technicians! Any level of GM certification will be considered as we are a proud sponsor of the GM TECHNICIAN EXCELLENT PROGRAM! Under this program we will offer 100% DEALERSHIP MATCH on your training reward!! WE WILL PAY $50 TO $60 PER HOUR FOR WORLD CLASS GM CERTIFIED DIESEL TECHNICIANS.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair all areas/ systems of assigned vehicles
• Work with team members to accurately document recommendations, diagnoses, and repairs performed
• Stay up-to-date with manufacturer’s updates and training
• Perform road tests and quality control of all work performed
• Responsible for keeping the shop area neat, and clean, and accounting for all dealership-owned tools at all times
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Proficiency with tools and mechanical aptitude
• Possess ability to accurately diagnose mechanical automotive problems and make recommendations
• A good work ethic is a must!
• Factory training, ASE certifications or prior dealership experience is a plus!
• Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
• Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen

Pay

Starting at $50 to $60 per hour for World Class GM Certified Diesel Technicians.
