About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced automotive technician to join a high-performing service team. This role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in delivering accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of vehicles with a focus on General Motors systems and technology.
  • Accurately inspect, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety.
  • Use factory-level service information, diagnostic equipment, and repair procedures to identify root causes.
  • Communicate findings, recommended repairs, and completion status clearly to service advisors and team members.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with shop and manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
  • Support team productivity and contribute to a positive, customer-focused shop culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an automotive technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills.
  • GM certification or equivalent manufacturer training preferred or required, depending on shop needs.
  • Ability to work confidently with engine, electrical, brake, suspension, HVAC, and drivability systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
  • Ability to use scan tools, diagnostic software, and technical repair information.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record may be required.
  • ASE certifications are a plus.

Pay

Competitive flat-rate pay of $65.00 per flat rate hour, plus bonus opportunities. ($170k potential) Potential for strong earnings based on productivity and performance.
