GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage )

About the role

As a General Merchandise Expert, you’ll lead inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and pricing processes for all areas of the store. Experts enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.

Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
- Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
- Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
- Execute processes such as changing prices, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader.
- Understand how operational procedures (e.g., setting up and organizing merchandise, managing product stock levels, maintaining sales floor areas) affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
- Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, report hazards, and correct them where possible.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders to guests) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws (e.g., adult beverage regulations).
- Perform all other duties as needed based on business requirements.

- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
- Reliable and prompt attendance.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
