About the role
Manage a portfolio of trading inquiries working closely with CPF teams in Thailand and other CP affiliates globally, with the main market territory being Thailand/Asia. Coordinate with internal sales teams across Thailand, the United Kingdom, USA, China, South Korea, and Australia. Cultivate, develop, and maintain strong relationships with current and future suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Source and manage new vendors for multi-category commodities (including red meat, frozen shrimp, fruits, and beverages) and collaborate globally with CPF branches.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
- Manage transoceanic and local logistics by tracking shipment schedules and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Promote a high level of customer service to ensure smooth operations for internal and external partners and clients.
- Work collaboratively with departmental team managers on department-wide initiatives and management.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with internal CPF partners/affiliates.
- Travel to trade shows domestically and internationally and visit suppliers/customers (up to 10% international travel to Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and up to 10% domestic travel within the U.S.).
- Perform ad-hoc sales and marketing tasks, including packaging and label design/revisions and marketing materials using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Stay up to date with global market outlook, consumer trends, and food safety regulations across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance and quality control.
- Use the SAP system regularly for the entire P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Management Sciences, or related fields.
- 2 years of experience as an international trade specialist, supply chain specialist, or related occupation.
Skills
- 2 years of experience with SAP.
- Experience in multi-category commodity trading (red meat, frozen shrimp, fruits, beverages, etc.).
- Transoceanic and local logistics management.
- Design of packaging, labels, and marketing materials.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
