Description The Global Systems Support Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of the company's IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role helps ensure the stability, security, and reliability of core systems while providing technical support for infrastructure, networking, identity management, and backup solutions. The position supports key platforms including Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Azure, Nutanix virtualization, backup and recovery systems, Fortinet networking equipment, and enterprise wireless infrastructure. The Systems Support Administrator works closely with IT team members and business stakeholders to resolve issues, implement improvements, and maintain operational continuity. Responsibilities Administer and support Windows servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and cloud servicesPerform routine system maintenance, patching, monitoring, and troubleshootingSupport backup and recovery processes and assist with disaster recovery testing activitiesManage user accounts, permissions, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, DNS, and DHCPAssist with administration of firewalls, VPN connectivity, wireless networks, and network infrastructureMonitor system health and respond to infrastructure alerts and service disruptionsTroubleshoot server, network, identity, and cloud-related issues and escalate complex problems when necessaryMaintain technical documentation, procedures, and asset inventoriesSupport infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system implementationsProvide Tier 2/3 technical support and guidance to the Service Desk and end users Qualifications 2+ years of experience supporting Windows server environments, infrastructure, or systems administrationExperience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 administrationBasic understanding of virtualization platforms such as Nutanix, VMware, or Hyper-VFamiliarity with backup and recovery solutionsWorking knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPNs, wireless networking, and firewallsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based servicesExperience with Fortinet, Aruba, or similar networking technologiesKnowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools and ticketing systemsBasic PowerShell scripting or automation experienceAssociate-level certifications are a plus, such as:Microsoft Fundamentals or Administrator certificationsCompTIA Network+CompTIA Security+Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA) Compensation Information Base Salary $ 65,000-75,000 yearly ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
