What You’ll Do
The Silicon / Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) Global Supply Manager (GSM) will support Specs’ product lines for our in-house silicon design teams as well as our back-end packaging for our micro displays. The supply chain to support our internal silicon design and development is critical to the success of our product line. As a Global Supply Manager (Silicon / OSAT), you will work closely with operations and supplier quality, as well as Snap’s product and design teams. In addition, your responsibilities will include:
- Own the commercial relationships with our partners as well as influence commodity strategy and direction with internal stakeholders like product and design teams.
- Setup and expand relationship with end-to-end semiconductor suppliers including, IP providers, foundry, bumping, die preparation, wafer sort, packaging, and testing vendors and equipment partners.
- GSM's at Snap get to be business owners responsible for commodity strategy, supplier selection, cost negotiations, continuity of supply, risk mitigation, as well as supporting overall project needs and timelines.
- Establish a robust supply chain to allow us to scale to volume production.
- Use your knowledge of the semiconductor industry to help drive Snap’s long-term silicon and assembly strategies.
- Drive design to cost, working with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the design to cost philosophy.
- Partner with Snap legal team to implement contracts for services and material where necessary to support business needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work and influence across teams and manage timelines
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, or commodity management associated with Semiconductor Foundry, Advanced Semiconductor Packaging, and OSATs.
- Process integration and foundry management experience is a plus.
- Being able to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities
- Passion for problem-solving and driving resolution
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and at times ambiguous environments
- Good communication skills and ability to work in multilingual as well as multicultural environments with partners in Asia, Europe and the US
- Previous experience in the following a plus; batteries, PCB, Flexible PCB
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain development, sourcing management, or manufacturing operations
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (preferred) or Supply Chain
- Must travel 20% of the time internationally
