Role Overview The Global Sourcing Intern will support the Tactical Buying team by assisting with procurement operations, supply chain data management, supplier coordination, and reporting activities. This internship offers hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing, ERP systems, and procurement analytics while providing exposure to global supply chain practices and strategic sourcing initiatives. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assist with the tactical execution of sourcing strategies for assigned commoditiesMonitor supplier performance and delivery schedulesSupport communication and coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholdersWork with suppliers to resolve quality issues and facilitate the return of defective itemsPerform audits of purchasing-related master data, including materials, vendors, and purchasing information recordsIdentify data discrepancies and recommend corrective actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date information in SAP and other ERP systemsCollect, analyze, and report procurement performance dataCreate reports and dashboards related to key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, purchase order cycle time, and cost savingsAssist in preparing presentations and procurement performance summaries for internal stakeholdersCreate and maintain purchasing information records in SAPEnsure the accuracy of vendor pricing, lead times, and sourcing informationCoordinate with buyers and suppliers to validate purchasing information record dataProvide administrative support for sourcing activities and tactical buyer responsibilitiesSupport special projects and additional sourcing initiatives as assigned Other Duties And Responsibilities Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and proceduresParticipate in team efforts that support departmental and organizational goalsContribute to a positive and collaborative team environmentCommunicate effectively with team members and leadershipProtect confidential and proprietary company informationMaintain a high degree of honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times Knowledge, Skills, And Education Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis techniquesExposure to ERP systems such as SAP is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment What You'll Gain Real-world experience supporting sourcing and procurement operationsHands-on exposure to SAP and other ERP toolsExperience with procurement reporting, KPI tracking, and data analysisInsight into global sourcing and supply chain management practicesMentorship and professional development opportunities from experienced sourcing professionals Equal Employment Opportunity Mitsubishi Power Americas is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer actively seeking to diversify the workforce and is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
