About the Role

John Zink, a Koch Engineered Solutions Company, is looking to add a Global Senior Director of Engineering. This role will report to the President of John Zink and will be based at our Tulsa, OK location. The Global Senior Director of Engineering will apply Koch's Principle Based Management (PBM) philosophy to maximize team and business results, with significant opportunity to shape transformation and create meaningful impact. This high-visibility leadership role will lead the global engineering team for the John Zink business, and serve on the Global Leadership Team.

What You Will Do

  • Create a vision, set goals, and define a strategy for achieving established objectives while continuously improving the team's talent position.
  • Establish and continuously evolve global engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices to drive quality, efficiency, and agility.
  • Leverage the organization's global footprint to optimize capabilities, resource allocation, and knowledge sharing, regularly reassessing team structure as needs change.
  • Partner closely with upstream and downstream teams (commercial, project management, supply chain, operations, etc.) to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and alignment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability for both results and behaviors consistent with Our Values, ensuring clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, expectations, and decision rights.
  • Champion digital transformation and adoption of advanced engineering tools, systems, and processes.

Requirements (Basic Qualifications)

  • Progressive engineering leadership experience, including managing global teams.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing engineering standards across multiple regions or business units.
  • Strong experience partnering cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies that deliver measurable business results.
  • Experience working within complex, matrixed global organizations.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience driving digital engineering initiatives and leveraging technology and AI for differentiated results.
  • Experience in engineered-to-order business models.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply PBM to achieve results, develop talent, and lead teams.
  • Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related discipline.
