About the role

The Threat & Risk Analyst leads strategic and tactical threat intelligence efforts in partnership with Global Security and Regional Security teams, focusing on priorities in the Americas. This role supports EY’s security mission by collecting, assessing, and reporting relevant intelligence to protect personnel, facilities, assets, and reputation. The analyst monitors emerging national and international security concerns and delivers written analyses and briefings to support security programs and crisis management operations.

Responsibilities

Americas Area

• Monitor and track incidents for situational awareness related to top security disciplines (e.g., Crisis Response, Emergency Preparedness, Business Continuity, Travel Security, Physical Security, Meetings & Events Security).
• Conduct comprehensive all-source monitoring, collection, and analysis of threats potentially impacting company assets in the Americas, communicating information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Produce tactical risk assessments and other reporting as needed for threats potentially impacting company assets in the Americas.
• Collaborate with Regional Security personnel and other business partners to determine incident and threat impacts to the company and coordinate appropriate responses.
• Understand key area stakeholders’ top concerns (e.g., Area leadership, Region Security Managers) and produce security assessments and incident/situational reporting based on requirements.

Global Security

• Support the Global Threat & Risk process by identifying priority risk areas (e.g., geopolitical tensions, terrorism, political instability, civil unrest, crime, natural disasters) to define top organizational concerns.
• Support Global Travel and Meetings & Events Security processes.
• Stay current on security and intelligence topics.
• Help develop continuous improvement and industry best practices for threat intelligence assessment and escalation protocols.
• Build relationships with corporate and government intelligence teams to share methodologies and analysis, supporting diverse business groups.
• Maintain and leverage relationships with key external agencies, including local/federal law enforcement, intelligence/military agencies, and other public/private entities.

Analytical Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EY’s Global Security team, Region teams, and other functions to strengthen internal and external security.
• Analyze the business environment, geographical variations, security requirements, and stakeholder expectations.

Supervision Responsibilities

• Work as a self-starter, managing and switching between multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility in schedule is required due to the nature of the role.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced open-source research skills and knowledge of social media resources for proactive intelligence collection.
• Analytic experience within the Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) community or previous experience in law enforcement, intelligence, military, security consulting, corporate security, or enhanced due diligence.
• Technical expertise in information gathering from open sources, government or vendor reporting, social media, and/or public/private sector partnership networks.
• Proficient knowledge of popular media sites (e.g., Twitter, Facebook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated research and critical thinking skills to identify, collect, synthesize, and evaluate large amounts of data, drawing logical and actionable conclusions.

• Ability to operate under stress and multitask in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under ambiguous circumstances.
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational and multitasking skills, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working independently or collaboratively on projects, often under compressed timelines.
• Highly responsive and proactive, able to own tasks from start to finish.

Education

• Minimum of a relevant bachelor’s degree; preferred fields include international relations, political science, history, national security studies, government, journalism, public relations, social media management, or business communications.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in an analyst role, preferably in a dynamic security environment within a large national, international, or multinational organization.

Certifications

• Recognized security or development qualification from organizations such as ASIS, MAX Security, Toddington, CISS, or Bellingcat is preferred but not mandatory.

Language Requirements

• Spanish language fluency (oral, written, and reading) strongly preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the U.S. is $72,600 to $135,700. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $87,100 to $154,300. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
