Global Security Operations Center Analyst
About the role
The Global Security Operations Center Analyst monitors the security of Corning's employees, facilities, and property worldwide. The purpose of this position is to provide stakeholders with decision advantage by detecting, analyzing, and appropriately responding to all threats to the corporation and its employees.
Responsibilities
- Communicate directly with Corning employees around the world as a primary first-contact/first-report for all questions and concerns pertaining to security
- Global monitoring of company assets, including alarm response with dispatch of emergency and/or security services
- Gather security and threat information from multiple open-source intelligence services using a variety of web-based and in-house tools
- Conduct risk analysis and prepare proactive guidance to travelers, expatriates, facility management, and other stakeholders
- Write custom reports to various businesses across the company to enable decision advantage for Corning leadership
- Research and provide in-depth risk analysis for high-risk travel assessments and travel recommendations
- Provide support to leadership and protective services, including alarm monitoring, risk analysis, and movement monitoring
- Compile situational and after-action reports for both security and company management
- Provide as-needed support for various security operations, crisis response, Intelligence and Investigations, and business continuity functions
Requirements
- Minimum: Associate’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in a related field. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (Business, Political Science, International Relations, or other related disciplines)
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
- Flexibility to work all shifts including scheduled holidays and have a willingness to occasionally work outside of normally scheduled hours when needed to maintain operational continuity
- Team player attitude with a professional interpersonal style
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to adapt and cater to the unique needs of various customers
- Aptitude for clear and effective writing under time-sensitive conditions
- Personable telephone and face-to-face verbal communication skills, including experience clarifying information in a friendly and positive manner
- Able to establish priorities, multitask, work independently, and complete objectives in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
- Sound operational judgment and a curiosity to learn about the company and its security needs
- Comfortable in a high-tech work environment, with constant learning of new tools and processes
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook

Pay
$64,736.00 - $89,012.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
Schedule
The schedule consists of 4-week rotations of 11pm-7am, 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, with every other weekend scheduled off. This schedule is set for the entire year, with shift swaps available. Due to the 24/7/365 coverage requirements on the Global Security Operations Center, analysts are required to work schedule holidays, and there is an occasional requirement to work outside of normally scheduled hours to maintain operational continuity. Unscheduled hours for coverage and holidays worked will be returned wherever possible to analysts through compensatory time and shift swaps.
