Global QHSE Director
Position Overview
The Global Director of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) is responsible for defining and executing the global QHSE strategy to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture across all Fracht Operations. This role partners closely with executive leadership to embed QHSE into business performance, drive continuous improvement, and proactively manage risk across a complex, multi-regional environment. The Global QHSE Director will act as a strategic advisor to the business while leading the development of high-performing QHSE teams worldwide.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Global Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement a global QHSE strategy aligned with business objectives
- Establish and lead the QHSE Centre of Excellence
- Partner with executive leadership to integrate QHSE into operational and commercial decision-making
- Drive a consistent global framework while allowing for regional flexibility
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable international, national, and local QHSE regulations
- Oversee audits, inspections, and corrective action programs
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preventative actions
- Manage risk across operations, vendors, and supply chain partners
- Operational Excellence & Performance
- Drive continuous improvement through data, metrics, and performance insights
- Oversee QHSE management systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual QHSE performance reporting
- Align global practices with industry standards and customer expectations
- Stakeholder Engagement & Industry Representation
- Represent the organization with regulatory agencies, clients, and industry bodies
- Build strong relationships with key customers, particularly within the energy sector
- Support commercial activities, including tenders and client presentations, ensuring QHSE alignment
- People & Culture
- Lead, coach, and develop regional QHSE teams
- Foster a proactive, safety-first culture across all regions
- Design and deliver training programs to build organizational capability
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement at all levels
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Advanced qualifications in Business, Quality Management, or Auditing preferred
- Lead Auditor certification (OHSMS, QMS, EMS)
- Training and assessment qualifications are advantageous
Additional Information
This role requires a highly collaborative leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment. The successful candidate will balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring QHSE remains a core pillar of business success. Proven leadership experience in QHSE within a global, multi-site organization is preferred. Demonstrated success in developing and executing QHSE strategies across multiple regions is also required. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at C-suite level is necessary. Commercial awareness, including experience supporting tenders and client engagements, is essential. Experience leading and developing diverse, cross-cultural teams is advantageous. A background in energy, logistics, or similarly regulated industries is preferred. Ability to travel internationally as required is necessary.
