Global Process Engineer - Engine Testing and Balancing
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Define global process standards and equipment standards and deploy them across the Aero Alliance factories, partnering with local factory technical leaders.
- Define, control, communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including: facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks & calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, technical & technology training.
- Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes. Including EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, Materials, and Sourcing.
- Partner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications.
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improve quality processes.
- Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to eliminate the problems from re-occurring.
- Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization.
- Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment.
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
- Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in Aeroderivative, Aircraft Engine, or Gas Turbine Testing and Balancing
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes
- Able to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics
- Project Management skills and experience

- Engage design for Six Sigma methodology (DFSS)
- Deploy lean principles
Desired Characteristics
- 10+ years technical experience with expertise in Aeroderivative, Aircraft Engine, or Gas Turbine Testing and Balancing
- Direct leadership experience of both professional and production employees
- Ability to coach and influence others and lead small teams
- Experience leading Kaizen teams
- Experience with Zero Defect (Built in Quality) framework and elements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Able to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
- Managed a cost center or P&L with a solid understanding of operational metrics
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Deep manufacturing technical expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology

Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00.
