Global Planning Director
Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Global Planning Director to join our Global Supply Chain team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain, this role will lead the development and execution of global planning strategies, drive operational excellence, and foster a customer-centric culture across multi-site network.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development - Lead and mentor a high-performing global planning team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability. Collaborate cross-functionally to drive company-wide initiatives, build organizational capability, and support FormFactor’s growth and operational goals.
Customer Satisfaction and Collaboration - Act as the primary interface between customer operations and business unit leaders, manufacturing, and quality. Translate customer needs into actionable supply chain strategies. Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services, on time and in full, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Champion customer-centric initiatives and continuous improvement.
Manufacturing and Operations Alignment - Partner with manufacturing to resolve constraints, material shortages, and production imbalances. Align planning processes with factory capabilities, drive order commit accuracy, and ensure clear communication of build priorities. Act as a bridge between production execution and Sales Ops, and business unit expectations.
Delivery Assurance and Operational Excellence - Enhance supply chain agility through the deployment and optimization of advanced planning systems, integrated data models, and real-time analytics, enabling faster, more accurate decision-making. Drive initiatives to reduce lead times, improve on-time delivery performance, and optimize inventory levels. Apply supply chain capabilities with evolving business requirements.
Standardization, Global Synergy, and Digital Supply Chain Resilience - Lead standardization of planning processes, tools, and KPI’s across multiple sites and regions. Support implementation and optimization of digital tools to build a resilient, responsive supply chain. Leverage data analytics, AI, and IoT to enhance predictive capabilities and proactive decision-making.
Planning Systems & Digital Transformation - Define and execute the global planning systems strategy, including selection, implementation, and continuous optimization of advanced planning tools (e.g., APS, ERP, demand/supply planning platforms). Lead cross-functional program management for the deployment of new planning systems, partnering with IT, Finance, Sales Ops, and Manufacturing to ensure alignment and successful adoption. Translate business requirements into system capabilities, ensuring scalability, data integrity, and standardized processes across the global network. Drive end-to-end digitization of planning processes, reducing manual work, improving data visibility, and enabling real-time decision-making. Establish governance, data standards, and system ownership models to sustain long-term performance and continuous improvement. Leverage advanced analytics, scenario planning, and AI-enabled tools to improve forecast accuracy, supply-demand balancing, and risk mitigation.

Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in leadership roles, with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience
