Global Patient Access Strategy & Operational Excellence Lead
Job Description
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE: Lead development and advancement of Global Patient Access (GPA) strategies and operational plans across programs, influencing cross functional stakeholders to deliver integrated patient centric strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, regulatory requirements, and product lifecycle needs
Dive data-driven and technology-enabled strategy and operational development, leveraging digital platforms, analytics, and insights to optimize program design and performance
Enable consistent execution of the GPA Strategy & Operations operating model, ensuring strategies and operational frameworks are scalable, standardized, and effectively implemented across regions supporting timely and compliant access globally
Ensure consistent execution of GPA Strategy & Operations model, embedding discipline, process standardization, and continuous improvement access programs
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead end-to-end strategy development for pre-approval access programs, guiding cross-functional teams from planning through execution
Translate enterprise and portfolio priorities into scalable, globally aligned GPA strategies, ensuring consistency across therapeutic areas and geographies
Own the design, governance, and continuous evolution of standardized operations processes, tools, and templates across GPA program ensuring consistent application and scalability
Drive integration of data, analytics, and insights into strategy development to optimize program design, performance, and patient impact
Lead business ownership of operational systems (e.g. One Patient Access), defining requirements, driving enhancements, ensuring alignment between system capabilties and standardized processes as well as advance the strategic use of digital platforms and reporting capabilities, in partnership with systems teams, to enable visibility, adoption, and continuous improvement
Enable execution of the GPA Strategy & Operations operating model, ensuring alignment between strategy, processes, and program delivery
Serve as a key GPA representative in global cross-functional forums, influencing strategy, timelines, and key program decisions, and driving alignment across Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Supply, and Commercial teams to ensure coordinated and effective execution
Provide strategic oversight across multiple programs, identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities to enhance scalability and performance
Ensure strategies are aligned with global regulatory requirements, internal policies, and SOPs, supporting compliance and audit readiness
Monitor program performance and external trends to continuously refine and optimize GPA strategies, incorporating best practices and evolving regulatory landscapes
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Required PhD, PharmD with ~5+years; MS with ~8+ years; BS with ~10+ years’ experience or related experience in clinical research or pre-approval access in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO
PREFERRED: Advanced degree in a Health science field preferred (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health). Previous experience managing pre-approval access programs

For Location: USA - MA - Cambridge - Kendall Square - 500 U.S. Base Salary Range : $154,400.00 - $242,550.00 The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
