Global OneStream Functional Lead

You will lead functional design, configuration, and delivery of OneStream platforms, translating business and finance requirements into configurations that meet operational and reporting objectives. You will mentor junior consultants, drive platform best practices, and collaborate with functional leads, technical leads, and business stakeholders across the full implementation lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead functional requirement gathering sessions with finance, accounting, FP&A, and controllership teams.
- Lead functional design sessions and produce Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Design Documents (FDD), and configuration workbooks.
- Define dimension hierarchies, chart of accounts mapping, and intercompany elimination rules.
- Design and configure OneStream applications including workflows, metadata, account structures, and consolidation logic.
- Configure financial close workflows, task management, and ownership structures within OneStream Close Manager.
- Configure and validate currency translation, equity pickup, and minority interest calculations.
- Coordinate with developers to translate functional designs into technical Business Rules and Data Management workflows.
- Conduct functional testing, UAT support, and defect management/triage during implementation phases.
- Deliver training, training materials, and post-go-live hypercare support.
- Support change management activities and drive user adoption with stakeholders.
- Assist in project planning, status reporting, and risk escalation.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior functional consultants; conduct functional reviews and enforce best practices.
- Support the new business proposal process, including business case creation, SOW preparation, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Demonstrate executive presence during interactions with supervisors, peers, and clients.
Travel may be required for this role, ranging from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience designing and developing OneStream platforms (workflows, forms, cube views, dashboards, and quick views).
- Minimum of 3 years experience with requirements gathering, functional testing, user acceptance testing, and training.
- Minimum of 2 years working knowledge and expertise in performance management (consolidations or planning).
- Minimum of 3 years of functional experience in financial consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency reporting, with solid knowledge of financial close processes, chart of accounts design, and management reporting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience creating functional deliverables including requirements, design, and test documentation.
- OneStream Certified (OCS): Financial Close or Reports & Dashboards. (If not already certified, willingness to become certified within 6 months).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.
Skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in industries such as Industrial Manufacturing/Automotive, Energy, Consumer Goods, Retail, Public Sector, or Banking.
- Experience with advanced OneStream capabilities like Sensible AI, CPM Express, etc.
- Completion of OneStream application build courses (Application Build for Consultants or Administrators or Essentials Trainings).
- Completion of advanced OneStream courses.
- Experience designing/configuring OneStream modules (SML, People Planning, CAPEX, Thing Planning, etc.).
- Experience with similar planning and analytics technologies (Oracle/Hyperion, Cognos TM1, SAP, Anaplan, Adaptive, Host Analytics).
- Additional OneStream certifications.
- Proven success in collaborative and problem-solving environments.
- Desire to work in information systems and learn modern technologies like AI/ML.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
Pay
Compensation varies based on location, role, skill set, and experience. Below are the annual salary ranges for this role by location:
- California: $132,500 to $271,000
- Cleveland: $122,700 to $216,800
- Colorado: $132,500 to $234,100
- District of Columbia: $141,100 to $249,300
- Illinois: $122,700 to $234,100
- Maine: $112,900 to $199,500
- Maryland: $132,500 to $234,100
- Massachusetts: $132,500 to $249,300
- Minnesota: $132,500 to $234,100
- New York: $122,700 to $271,000
- New Jersey: $141,100 to $271,000
- Virginia: $122,700 to $249,300
- Washington: $141,100 to $249,300
